Saturday’s Section 9 championship games moved to Sunday due to weather conditions

The Area 9 baseball, softball and also young boys lacrosse champions were all relocated from May 28 to May 29 because of weather conditions.

The timetable has all five video games slated at their original times and locations at both Cantine Area and Lorenz Area in Saugerties:

  • Class AA: No. 2 Kingston vs. No. 1 Pine Bush at Cantine Field, 4 p.m.
  • Class A: No. 2 Cornwall vs. No. 1 Wallkill, at Cantine Field, 1 p.m.
  • Class B: No. 4 Marlboro vs. No. 2 Spackenkill, at Cantine Field, 10 a.m.
  • Class C: No. 2 Rhinebeck vs. No. 1 Chester, at Lorenz Field, 2 p.m. 
  • Class D: No. 2 Eldred at No. 1 Chapel Field, at Lorenz Field, 11 a.m. 

For softball, the schedule is altered, yet all 3 video games are still slated to be played at Middletown Secondary school.

  • Class AA: No. 2 Warwick vs. No. 1 Monroe-Woodbury, 10 a.m.
  • Class A: No. 6 Rondout Valley vs. No. 1 Minisink Valley, noon
  • Class D: No. 2 Livingston Manor vs. No. 1 Eldred, 2 p.m.

The Class A, B and also C young boys lacrosse championships will certainly likewise remain at Middletown High School, with a brand-new schedule:

  • Class C: Resumption of the No. 2 Rondout Valley vs. No. 1 Wallkill game, which is tied at 1-1 with 8:20 left in the first quarter, 10 a.m.
  • Class B: No. 2 Minisink Valley vs. No. 1 Warwick, 12:30 p.m.
  • Class A: No. 2 Monroe-Woodbury vs. No. 1 Kingston, 3 p.m.
