Flint Powers Catholic advances to girls regional soccer finals

FLINT– Powers Catholic is headed to the women’s local football finals.

The Chargers won their semifinal game 4-0 Wednesday versus Almont, putting them in the 6 p.m. Division 3 local national championship against host Williamston.

Caralyn Haas, Elegance Cameron as well as Lexie Africa racked up first-half goals for Powers prior to Haas finishing the scoring in the second fifty percent with her second of the video game.

Powers will take a 14-3-3 document right into the local championship game while Williamston is 14-2-1.

The victor will certainly progress to the state semifinals on June 15 at Red Hawk Arena in Cedar Springs versus either Otsego or Hudsonville Unity Christian.

Hudsonville Unity Christian got to the semifinals a year back.

The Division 2 national championship is on June 18 at Michigan State.
