Candlelight vigil planned for Arlington high school senior killed in DUI crash

A candlelight vigil will be held Sunday to bear in mind an Arlington, Va. senior high school elder who was eliminated in an auto accident on Friday.

Braylon Meade participated in Washington-Liberty Secondary school. He used the football group in 2014 and got on the varsity kids basketball group.

Police said he died when he was hit by an additional auto Friday.

Arlington Region authorities have charged the teen driving the other car with DUI and also involuntary wrongful death.

” It is with extensive despair that I educate you that a member of the course of 2023, Braylon Meade, passed away Friday morning,” Washington-Liberty Secondary school primary Tony Hall stated in a letter to the school neighborhood. “Braylon was a cherished participant of the Washington-Liberty family, as well as impacted the lives of many of our trainees as well as employee throughout the years. Braylon was a scholar as well as a professional athlete, having actually played basketball and football for our college. All of us feel his loss deeply.”

The vigil is planned for 5 p.m. at the Washington-Liberty Senior high school parking area on Quincy Street, pool and W-L annex.

Participants are urged to bring images or cards to show the area.
